First Look:
This is a really good card to have if you spend most of your
expenses on shopping for clothes, shoes, bags and in department stores either
in retail stores or online shopping worldwide. It comes in either Visa or
Mastercard, so you don’t have to worry if the merchant will have problem
accepting your card or not. Problem is it gives you little points when not
making payment for shopping. But that can be excused if you have a backup card.
I do not think there is any other similar card in the market at the moment.
Where to use this card:
Any department store or retail stores worldwide that sells
shoes, bags & clothing as its main business activity.
Airmiles / Points:
Note: Citi$5 = 2 Airmiles in their system.
Citi$10 or 4 airmiles for every S$1 spent with any merchant
that its business nature is selling clothes, shoes, bags and departmental
store. Same goes for online shopping.
Citi$1 or 0.4 airmiles per S$1 spent for anything else.
This is also what they mean by 10x the reward points for shopping.
Main or Secondary Cards:
As this card is an industry specific card, you will need to
have a generic backup card, otherwise the points you get will be quite little.
Possible Combo:
You will probably be using this card only for shopping purpose, have an all rounded card to keep with you. Any of my 2 recommended air mile cards would do. (Clicking the images will bring you to my reviews for them. These are not ads)
ANZ Travel Visa Signature Card
(A really good card for everything you pay)
UOB Privi-Miles American Express Card
(Gives a higher reward compare to the ANZ one but some merchants don't accept Amex)
Final View:
This is a great secondary card to have if you are a shopaholic or like to go for retail therapy. The whopping 4 airmiles for a large shopping industry is no kidding. But remember to always have a generic airmile card to back you up for payments that are not related to selling clothes, shoes, bags and not a department store.
