ANZ Travel visa Signature card
First Look:
If you are looking for a primary card or just one card only to be in your wallet, look no further, this ANZ Travel Visa Signature card does certain things really well such as traveling and really decent for anything else. One of my favorite card to have This card gives you at least 1.4 airmiles per S$1 spent with any form of purchase, and some even 2.8 airmiles. The only card that gives you more than this right from the beginning is the UOB Privi-Mile Amex card which gives you 1.6 airmiles locally and 2.5 in non Singapore dollar transaction. However, I prefer this ANZ card more because it is a Visa card, and is more widely accepted, and you don’t have to worry about the merchant not able to do transaction in Visa, unlike Amex which many small to medium size companies do not accept as they take up a higher transaction fees off the merchants. I personally encountered many places not accepting American Express, even the famous Ding Tai Fung, guess they are smart putting more money into tourism marketing than paying extra to Amex. I have listed down most of the Air Mile Cards in Singapore in another post, check it out the comparison I did there. Click here to go there. ANZ has been working really hard in their marketing, I have seen many shopping centers filled with their campaigns and promotions. They also give you a 5% rebate when you make purchase in Premium Grocery stores such as Cold Storage, Marketplace and even Giants. They also have many promotion campaign throughout the years, for example the one in June where you get 1050 airmiles for every transactions that is S$100 or more. I really like this card. As mentioned before, this card is really suited for people who travel a lot and general use. You get a really high reward point when you make travel related payment. I’ll list down the details in the next section. Where to use this card? 1) Flight Booking 2) Any Spending in Singapore, Australia, New Zealand 3) Major Grocery Stores 4) Travel/Holiday Partners: Asiatravel.com Misatravel.com Zuji.com Hotels.com Hotelsclub.com Agoda.com Roomkey.com Asiarooms.com Booking.com Cold Wear Planet Traveller Samsonite Winter Time Avis Hertz Australian International School in Singapore Airmiles/Points: 2.8 Airmiles per S$1 spent in Australia & New Zealand, Direct flight booking off airline websites, purchases made in the list mentioned above. But take note, unlike some other Airmiles card out there, you do not get the higher reward point when spending in overseas other than Australia & New Zealand. 1.4 Airmiles per S$1 spent anything and anywhere else. 5% rebate/discount when shopping in Groceries like ColdStorage, Giant & Marketplace while earning air-mile points. Main or Secondary Card? This can definitely be your main / primary card or the ONLY one card in your wallet, it gets the job done, and you can always count on it if no other card works or if you are not sure which card to use at any specific merchant. Possible Combo: Since you can always have this Card to back you up, feel free to look into any of the following card to be your secondary card that is based on your spending pattern. All these give you a lot of points and airmiles too. (Clicking the images will bring you to my reviews for them. These are not ads)
Final View:
This is a generic yet the best of its kind air-mile card which gives you great airmiles everywhere. It gives you even more when you make travel related expenses listed above. You can always count on having this card to back you up when no other card can be accepted or do not know which card to use to make payment. Right column is the breakdown of the score. |
